Duration : About three weeks and giving flashes through sequences.
Phase One : ( I ) Preparation phase .
A – The theme of the project :
- Describing ( people ) favourite people ( comic actors – singer )
- Describing personality characters, physical appearances and accessories ).
- The class should be divided into 3 groups : each group deals with a project. The presentation will be during the fourth weeks .
Guiding – providing knowledge – facilitating – playing the role of co-learner – grouping pupils – evaluating .
· How many pupils in each group .
· Pupils can be grouped according to their levels and affinities .
E – Assessment procedure :
The teacher have to device an evaluation sheet .
Phase Two : ( II ) Realization phase .
- The teacher reduces the control over his pupils .
- The pupils will correct information about his / her favourite personality including ( the name, the age, the height, the weight, the place of birth and the nationality ) in addition they have to point out the accessories.
- In the whole task the pupils should use the adjectives they have learnt through out the file such as : ( kind – shy – selfish – helpful – friendly ).
Organization their material :
· The teacher guides the pupils to talk first about the biography of the target personality and the physical appearance and the accessories.
Design their work :
Phase Three : ( III ) Presentation phase .
This stage consists of :
· Encourage the pupils ( to present their ) to speak out their talks about the theme in front of the audience .
· ( Explain ) The pupils should explain their project .
· The teacher should comment on the work performed by the pupils according to what they have learnt through out the whole file.
File : 02 Project : 02 Title : Means of transportation ( Travelling )
Duration : About three weeks and giving flashes through sequences.
Project announcement :
- Give a general idea about means of transport . ( air – land – sea )
- Naming jobs expressions used in travelling + places .
Step One :
- The teacher shows pictures on page : 48
- The teacher guides them to find the theme of the file which is travelling .
Step Two :
· Grouping :
1. Group 1 = Air
2. Group 2 = Land A
3. Group 3 = Land B
4. Group 4 = Sea
- Each group goes through.
- All the means of transport ( pictures / drawings ).
- The persons with their tasks.
- All the action verbs.
- Parking places.
- ****** of passengers.
- Food ( eat / serve ).
- They way of communication .
- How are these means ? ( comfortable / fast / economical etc… ).
- Fuel consumption .
- Mention some ticket prices ( as an example ).
- Chart ( depart / arrive time of each means ) as an example .
- The ( positive / negative ) sides of travelling .
1. Which means of transport do you prefer / like / why ?
2. Choose one of these two topics :
a- Write a short dialogue between : 1- passenger and steward 2- passenger and customer officer 3- passenger and an immigration officer 4- passenger and a policeman .
b- Write a short paragraph describing a means of transport.

Project announcement :
- Write a description of each ****** of the group ( name, surname, age, what’s she / he like ? … ).
- Gather data about leisure activities .
Step One :
- The teacher shows pictures of people and asks the pupils to describe one or two of them . the pupils do.
- The teacher asks the pupils to do so with the members of their group. ( they can stick photos ).
- The teacher asks them about their hobbies ( activities done in leisure time ).
Step Two :
- Group one : Physical appearances.
- Group two : Leisure activities ( data ).
- Group three : Leisure activities ( photos ).
- Group four : Write a report about an event they witness .
Language forms :
- Simple present .
- Adjectives ( tall – small – fat – etc… ).
- Present perfect ( since – for ).
- Simple past with regular and irregular verbs .
- Likes and dislikes.
- Leisure activities ( games – sports – etc… ).
- Write a short dialogue between a journalist and famous people ( sportsman – sportswoman – a singer – an actor – etc… ).
- Asking about age, name, date of birth, work, hobbies, etc…
- Write a short paragraph describing one of the members of the group .
- Describe an event you witnessed when, where and how something happened.

- Describing regular activities .
- Expressing feelings.
- Narrating events .
- Expressing suggestions .
- The teacher sets the groups.
- The teacher announces the project.
- The teacher presents a label and asks the pupils to fill it .
- The teacher asks the pupils to form a paragraph using the label.
- The teacher asks the pupils to mention some important events that happened during the week / month .
- The teacher asks each member of the group to choose a topic and to write a short paragraph about it.
- The teacher asks the pupils to form a class magazine .
- The teacher asks the pupils to imagine that they are commenting on a football match .
Realization :
- The teacher checks the pupils achievement corrects, helps, advices and observers.

- Locate countries.
- Compare countries ( climate – area – population – etc… ).
- Locate towns within countries.
- Describe towns ( location – avenues – streets – etc… ).
- Describe monuments, locate them.
- Agree / disagree – express surprise and admiration .
( I ) Preparation :
1- The teacher sets the groups .
- Announces the project.
- Asks the pupils to name some countries they want to visit some day and find as much information as they can .
2-
- Asks the pupils to think about a town in Algeria or abroad and find some details about its history .
- Tell them to find or draw a map of it.
- Mention the main avenues and streets .
3-
- Asks the pupils to choose a famous monument located in the previous town ( already mentioned in 2 ).
- Asks them to draw its pictures in their portfolio .
( II ) Realization :
- The teacher checks the work , corrects, helps and gives pieces of advice .
( III ) Presentation :
- The teacher asks the pupils to present their work.
- Name the country, find or draw its map.
- Find postcards or pictures of its main towns .
- The pupils tell the classmates about it .
- Learners do the instructions .
- Present the town to their classmates.
- Give some information about the monument chosen ( name – size – location – shape – etc…).
- The pupils present and discuss the project .
- The pupils evaluate the work of the other group .

- Locating countries describing.
Preparation Phase : giant sheets of paper – markers – photos – dictionaries – maps – etc …
( I ) Preparation :
- The teacher gives out lines.
- Think of a country would like to visit.
- Name it, draw its map.
- Located it ( area, population, density, capital, etc… ).
- Name of its head of state etc…
( II ) Realization :
- The teacher checks, observes and gives advices.
( III ) Presentation :
- The teacher asks the pupils to be ready to present their works .
- The pupils listen.
- The pupils select, think of a country, gather, draw ( maps, pictures, brochures, etc… ).
- The pupils work together

The objective :
- Talking about the history of these towns
Preparation Phase : pictures, maps ( town ).
( I ) Preparation :
- Think of a town or city in Algeria or abroad .
- Speak about its location, history, capital city
( II ) Realization :
- The teacher observes and gives advices.
( III ) Presentation :
- The teacher asks the pupils to present the town to their classmates.
- The pupils listen
- Located it in the country.
- Talk about its history and draw its map (e.g. El-Oued, Batna, etc… ).
- The pupils think and gather information about ( history, drawing its map ) mention its main avenues and streets.
- Pinpoint its most important buildings on the map ( university, library, etc… )
- The pupils prepare and be ready to present their work in class.
Duration : About three weeks and giving flashes through sequences.
The objective :
- Describing a monument ( size, shape and age ).
Preparation Phase : pictures, drawings ( monuments ).
( I ) Preparation :
Join your group and choose a famous monument.
( name – age – location – size – shape – purpose ).
( II ) Realization :
- The teacher checks, observes and gives advices.
( III ) Presentation :
- The teacher asks the pupils to present it to their classmates.
- The pupils listen.
- The pupils choose.
- The pupils think and gather information about monuments.
· The pupils be ready to speak about it to their classmate.
