The McDonald’s Corporation ) is the world’s largest chain of hamburger fast food restaurants, serving around 68 million customers daily in 119 countries.] Headquartered in the United States, the company began in 1940 as a barbecue restaurant operated by Richard and Maurice McDonald; in 1948 they reorganized their business as a hamburger stand using production line principles. Businessman Ray Kroc joined the company as a franchise agent in 1955. He subsequently purchased the chain from the McDonald brothers and oversaw its worldwide growth.
A McDonald’s restaurant is operated by either a franchisee, an affiliate, or the corporation itself. McDonald’s Corporation revenues come from the rent, royalties, and fees paid by the franchisees, as well as sales in company-operated restaurants. In 2022, McDonald’s Corporation had annual revenues of $27.5 billion, and profits of $5.5 billion.
McDonald’s primarily sells hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chicken, french fries, breakfast items, soft drinks, milkshakes, and desserts. In response to changing consumer tastes, the company has expanded its menu to include salads, fish, wraps, smoothies, and fruit

HAMBURGERS

Servings: 4 servings
Prep: 15 minutes
Total: 25 minutes

ingredients
1 pound ground beef, ground pork, or ground turkey
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon onion salt or garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 slices American, Swiss, cheddar, or brick cheese (optional)
4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
Ketcup, mustard, and/or pickle slices (optional)
directions
In a mixing bowl combine the ground beef, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Shape the meat mixture into four 1/2- or 3/4-inch-thick patties. Place patties on the unheated rack of a broiler pan. Broil 3 to 4 inches from the heat until no pink remains, turning once. Allow 10 to 12 minutes for 1/2-inch-thick patties or 15 to 18 minutes for 3/4-inch-thick patties.
If desired, top burgers with a slice of cheese. Broil just until cheese melts. Place burgers on toasted buns. If desired, serve with ketchup, mustard, and/or pickle slices. Makes 4 servings.

Couscous Royal recipe:
ingredients:
500 g lamb (shoulder or leg )
1 chicken
1 dozen sausages (bangers )
3 courgettes
4 carrots
2 turnips
2 large aubergines
4 fresh tomatoes
1 onion
1 handful of chickpeas
2 tablespoons tomato paste
Ras El Hanout ( mixture of 7 spices for couscous)
paprika
Salt and pepper
Olive oil
Harissa
3 liters of water
1 kg of couscous
Preparation Instructions :
Cut the lamb into large cubes and noble meat chicken parts ( thighs , wings and white ) into chunks . In a large pot , sauté the meat , cut the onion into quarters, chickpeas and all the spices . Salt and pepper. When the meat is lightly browned , cover with water and bring to boil. Reduce heat and add the quartered tomatoes and tomato paste . Cover and simmer for about 1 hour .

Meanwhile, prepare the couscous in the usual way .

Peel the turnips and cut into quarters. Wash the eggplant and cut into chunks. Peel the carrots and cut into sections . Wash zucchini and cut into 2 lengthwise . Peel the potatoes and cut into quarters .

After an hour of cooking the sauce , add the turnips and carrots. Cook for 20 minutes then add the potatoes , zucchini and eggplant. Simmer for about 20 minutes or until the vegetables cook.

Grill the sausages in a pan.

Put the semolina in a hollow dish service. Drizzle a little olive oil and mix. Digging a well in the center and put the pieces of meat, sausages and vegetables.
Put the broth in 2 different bowls , one added a little harissa .
